Mid Year Challenge 2026

Info - Often at the monthly meetings, the group President, or designee, will issue a "Film Challenge".  This cordial contest is a way for individuals to practice some aspect of filmmaking.  The challenges tend to address a specific aspect of the craft.  Productions are "shorts".  Participation is optional.  There are no official entry forms or fees, unless specified in that month's specific contest information.  If you have produced an entry, please inform the President before the meeting and provide a link.  Most likely, the short film clips will be shown to the group during the meetings.  No prizes should be expected.   However, just completing a challenge and showing your work earns "bragging rights".

Disclaimers - Producers engage in the production of their entries under their on volition.  Producers are solely responsible for their own productions.  Producers assume all liabilities for their own productions.  Producers are expected to have safe sets and demonstrate professional industry conduct.  Producers are expected to abide by State and Federal laws.  Due to time constraints at meetings, only part of a work might be shown.   If content is "too graphic", display decisions are reserved by the President and group leadership.  Additionally, sometimes there could be a person of minor age in attendance at a meeting, thus content displays may need consideration.    These matters will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.   Despite the above mentioned caveats, the goal is to build craft and present works.
